The recreational and health sports department of the coburg swimming club offers many activities for adults as well. Membership in the club is not necessary – club members receive membership fee reductions. Among other things, new crawl technique courses are starting again: crawl swimming is the most effective and back-friendly form of locomotion in water. However, the course does not teach competitive crawl swimming, which involves using a lot of power to achieve the highest possible speed. The aim of the course offered is to give beginners an insight into crawling as an endurance sport. Advanced swimmers will notice after a few lessons how relaxing the steady movements are. Because of the straight position of the spine, the crawl is one of the healthy swimming techniques. "Especially for the disabled, the movement of the arm and shoulder muscles provides compensation for lack of movement and postural deformity", it says in the press release of the swimming club coburg.
The course takes place on mondays (from 19. October) at 18.45 o’clock for ten times 45 minutes at aquaria coburg. For more information and to register, call fabian roble at 0176/72869627 or nicole beetz at 0176/21403468
